WATER SUPPLY NOTICE

The rain in the Sungai Sarawak Kiri catchment areas over the past two days has contributed to the improvement of the raw water level.

KWB’s Drought Contingency Plan operation is on standby and we are still continuing with the cloud seeding efforts to create more precipitation in the catchment areas.

Water pressure at higher grounds will improve over the next couple of days. Affected consumers are requested to contact KWB Call Centre for delivery of treated water by water tankers.

The water supply to areas in Bau, Asajaya and Puncak Borneo, which are under the jurisdiction of JKR Kuching and Samarahan, is back to normal.   As the dry and hot season is not over yet, the consumers are requested to continue to conserve and use water sparingly.  Consumers are also requested to promptly call KWB Call Centre at 082-222333 or text message 019-8866650 on any pipe leak and burst.

Kuching Water Board appreciates the support, understanding and patience of our valued consumers for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult situation.  Consumers are strongly advised to visit KWB's website at KWB @ http://www.kwb.gov.my for the latest update on water supply status.
