CLIENT CHARTER

Introduction

Kuching Water Board (KWB) was established on 1 January 1959 under the Water Supply Ordinance from the Public Works Department, and takes over the Kuching Water Supply to reliably and adequately produce and supply quality treated water to consumers and to meet increasing demand from growth and development.

Kuching Water Board will always strive to ensure the production and supply of adequate quantities of quality water without interruption as well as to meet all other needs and expectations of its customers.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System

Kuching Water Board was first certified to MS ISO 9002:1994 on 26th October 2000.
Currently, Kuching Water Board is certified to ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System by M/S Moody International Certification (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and COFRAC of France on 16th December 2009 to be expire on 15th December 2012. The Board's QMS is currently subject to annual audit by M/S Moody International Certification (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. The extermal auditor conducts yearly surveillance audit to ensure KWB complies and adheres to the requirements of the Quality Management System.

Doa Selamat Ceremony Organized By KWB Prayer

KWB will hold a blessing ceremony in conjunction with celebrating the new year 2012 to bless the KWB staffs in their daily tasks on 19th January 2012 at 10:00AM.

MAKSAK Health Run

Kuching Water Board will be participated in the coming event organized by Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) and the Sarawak Government Services Welfare and Recreation Council (MAKSAK) on this coming Saturday, 7th January 2012. The purpose of this health run is to encourage public service employees involved in fitness and recreational activities as well as the government's intention to support a healthy workforce, visionary and active through escalation of physical, mental, spiritual and character. The run will begin at SBC's premises at KM20, Jalan Borneo Heights, at 7.00 am. Participants will literally be 'running with nature' as the run will take them on a scenic route through the Semengoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and back to SBC.
