Health Run Jointly Organized By KWB-MAKSAK On 24th March 2012 Date: 24 Mar 2012 Kuching Water Board (KWB) and the Sarawak Government Services Welfare and Recreation Council (Maksak) organized a health run on 24th March 2012 in conjunction with the World Water Day which caries the theme 'Water for Health'.
The health run was flagged off at 8AM at the KWB Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant.
State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohammad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, who is also the chairman of Maksak officiated the KWB-Maksak run which managed to draw 1,200 participants.
Kuching Water Board celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 7th Jan 2009.
The Government of Sarawak incorporated Kuching Water Board on 1st Jan 1959 and entrusted the Board to administer, manage and supervise all water works in Kuching urban area on a self-financing basis despite carrying out its social obligations to provide water supply with the highest standards in quality and services. Over the past five decades, Kuching Water Board has greatly expanded from a base on 4,472 number of services throughout its area of supply.
Kuching Water Board (KWB) hold its "Customer Day" on 4th August 2010 at Ground Floor, KWB Main Building, Jalan Batu Lintang Kuching from 9.00AM to 4.00PM.
Consumers are invited to come for the occasion to obtain more information on water services, billing, payment and water related matters. In addition to the existing Consumer Service Counters, Information & Advisory/ Problem Solving Desks have provide with free information leaflets on the services and functions rendered by KWB.
