In conjunction with the World Water Day (WWD) which is celebrated on 22 March 2011, Kuching Water Board’s Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant will join other designated water treatment plants nationwide in holding an Open Day for members of the public and students. The theme for this year’s WWD is “Water For Cities”. Members of the public and students are welcomed to visit the Batu Kitang Water Treatment Plant on Saturday, 26 March 2011 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at Mile 10, Jalan Batu Kitang-Bau, Kuching (Tel No: 082-611800). The objective of this open day is to educate the public on the value and preciousness of water as well as to enlighten them on water treatment processes.
